The Shame of the Stain

08/18/2020 Welcome to the Queendom! Today's meditative scripture is Ephesians 5:25-27: "Christ loved the church and gave Himself for her to make her holy, cleansing her with the washing of water by the word. He did this to present the church to Himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or anything like that, but holy and blameless." When getting ready for a date, do you make sure you dot all your Is and cross all your Ts before heading out? What I mean is, you take a shower, make sure you comb your hair, find the perfect outfit to impress that special someone, put on make up, perfume. You do all this to make sure that you represent yourself in the most perfect way possible.  Well in this passage of scripture, Christ had the very same concept. He took the church (us) as his bride. Christ understood that in a marriage, one partner is reflective of the other. In that respect, Christ sacrificed Himself to make us holy; cleansed us with His word. He did it all so that we co...

The Power of Acceptance

08/17/2020 Welcome back to the Queendom! Today's meditative scripture is Romans 15:7: "Therefore accept one another, even as Christ also accepted you, to the glory of God" I was reminded of my high school days when I read this passage of scripture. I remember relocating to Chicago in my sophomore year and being the "new girl" at a school that seemed to be very clique-ish. It didn't take very long for me to be put in the "lame" category and I was often not welcome in a lot of circles. It took someone to tell me "You were created a box, you'll never fit in a circle" for me to realize that I wasn't the problem. Fast forward to present day and reminded of that word that was spoken into my life, I was delivered from the pain of past rejection and learned to embrace being my own person. This passage of scripture is a reminder from Christ that we should never forget where we came from before he accepted us. When we stay in constant remem...

Plan, Prepare, Pray

08/14/2020 Welcome to the Queendom! Today's meditative scripture is Zechariah 10:1 - "Ask ye of the Lord rain in the time of the latter rain; so the Lord shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field." Oftentimes we lose sight of what God has already done because we are encumbered with our present situation. If you remember what He's done, you'll never forget who He is. In this passage of scripture, Zechariah encourages the farmers to ask God for the latter rain because only He, who makes the rain clouds, can do it. The latter rain refers to rain during a dry season, rain during harvesting season. Ever feel like time passed you by and while others are being blessed, you're stuck in a dry season? Its during these times that you begin to cry out to the Lord asking for a miracle (latter rain). Let me encourage you when i say take full advantage of what God is doing during the seasons of plenty. When all is well, that is ...

Look Again!

08/13/2020 Welcome to the Queendom!  T oday's meditative scripture is Phillippians 1:6 - "I am sure of this, that He who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." Ever feel like things were taking off really good and then they just stopped and you find yourself either in rewind or on repeat? Its during these times that discouragement sets in, we lose momentum in that thing that we set out to accomplish, and we lose all hope of ever making it to our goal. Well let me encourage you when i say, LOOK AGAIN! I believe this passage of scripture was meant to spark assurance in every believer, that no matter what things appear to be that God's plan concerning your life is still SURE and will be manifested regardless. Lay hold to the promise that what God began in you can and will begin again. Consider yourself on pause momentarily while you survey where you are and prepare for where you're headed. You didn't come this fa...

Dating On Another Level

Hello Beautiful People! Welcome back to the Queendom 😉 As I am journeying through my own personal dating experience, I just wanted to share my thoughts on the importance of dating intentionally. Let’s break this down Queendom style! Terms to Remember: 1.     Intentional – Doing something on purpose/deliberately 2.     Purposeful – To be determined 3.     Dating – The act of romantically engaging with someone Intentional Dating refers to the action of engaging with someone romantically on purpose.  When you do something “on purpose” that would suggest that you meant to do it. You didn’t stumble upon it, it didn’t fall on you, and you most certainly weren’t forced to do it. See, doing something on purpose requires some level of pre-meditation. You have to think about it. Sometimes even come up with a plan of action to make sure you can execute flawlessly your intention. However, before there is pre-meditation, ther...

Case of the Ex

Hello and welcome to the Queendom! I won’t prolong this by doing a super long intro. I’ve been asked on several occasions, How Do I Deal with My Ex? Have you ever found yourself asking that question? I mean, it’s been decided by either you or the other person that the connection you shared has now run its course and it’s time to call it quits. However, what a lot of individuals don’t realize is that even though the decision has been made, there is a whole other process that takes place after-the-fact. I’m here today to shed some light, from my personal experience of course, on what that process could look like. If you’re the least bit interested (ok maybe a lot interested) , then keep on reading. The term ex simply means “without”. So, when breaking up with someone, you become “without” them. The same is true with anything you consciously break up with. It doesn’t have to be a person to be considered an ex. It could be a job, a friendship, a place, a habit, and so on, but one ...
